SUMMARY
A visual companion piece to Max Vitali’s filmed interview with his father Leon Vitali, best known as Stanley Kubrick’s right hand. The excerpt explores the making of The Shining and how Leon supported the young boy cast in the lead role.
For this project I stepped aside from interactive direction and went hands-on with pure visual design. I created a minimalistic sequence that moved like dust rising from carpets, drifting and shifting as Leon’s voice carried the story. The visuals became a quiet counterpoint to the monologue, subtle transitions echoing memory and time.
