WHAT THEY WANTED

The brief was to create an experience worthy of Avicii’s legacy, one that could resonate both as a physical installation and as a virtual experience accessible worldwide.

WHAT I DID

I led the creative- and experience direction, basing everything from an already designed space that visually embodied Avicii’s music. Our original concept was a guided interactive journey: a gamified camera path encouraging visitors to look around, discover hidden messages, and unlock collective rewards. When that approach was later scaled back, I adapted the vision into a strong 360° visualizer, ensuring the final product still delivered atmosphere and impact across both physical and digital formats.

WHAT HAPPENED

The Listening Room gave fans a chance to celebrate Avicii’s music in a way that felt immersive and reverent. The 360° version extended the experience online, allowing a much wider audience to engage. While the interactivity was reduced, the project still marked a unique intersection of physical installation, digital design, and musical storytelling.
