OPTICKS
ART / MOTION DIRECTOR
ELECTRONIC ARTS
SUMMARY
Early identity motion exploration for what later became EA Highlighter, a tool that allowed players to create and share personalized, high-quality content from their gaming experiences. The team needed a motion identity that could capture the product’s energy and presence.
I directed the art, motion, and visual development, crafting a cinematic, light-driven sequence where a coil-like form builds itself and locks into the logo. I set the look and pacing in Unreal, Blender, and After Effects, before handing the 3D execution to Mathias Lindgren and finalizing the composite and sound. The result finally captured the sense of energy and polish both client and team had been searching for.

CHALLENGE
The client and team was unhappy with previous explorations and needed a logo animation that felt bold, cinematic, and anchored in energy and light.
MY ROLE
I developed the look and motion language through Unreal, Blender, and After Effects, directing the piece to feel like the viewer was inside the coil before it revealed its full form. I collaborated with Mathias Lindgren for final 3D and worked with a sound studio to tighten pacing and impact.
RESULT
A crisp motion identity that gave OPTICKS the energy it lacked. The sequence is cinematic, dynamic, and scalable, and the client finally got the logo reveal they were looking for.
